Know who is your real insider

There is no mystery that Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida is among the most popular vacation destinations on this planet. The place is enormous, spans numerous square miles, features four major theme parks (including Epcot, which is rates as among the finest theme parks ever), water parks, more than 35,000 hotel rooms and suites, several golf courses...look, this is the world's premiere family vacation destination and that is all there is to it.

Hoards of people visit annually, monthly, weekly and daily, and a daily visit of 25,000 people to Epcot is considered a so-so day. The Magic Kingdom (often erroneously referred to as Disney World when it is but a small percentage of it) is filled with tens of thousands of guests every day. So, in order to run this major operation, a lot of people are needed to fill the bill. Walt Disney World employs tens of thousands of people, ranging from numerous part-time folks who work occasionally and really for the gate pass benefits, to the rare few who have been there since day 1, way back before 1970.

The average is a lot of people (hey, a LOT of people) who make their living at Walt Disney World, mainly because this is the biggest factory in town and the biggest factory in any town employs the most people. But this is a Fun Factory, so those working there are used to seeing and meeting people from all walks of life. Many of them have been working there their entire adult lives, many of them because their parents work there and they started after school. It is nothing unusual for several generations to be there, from the grandparents who are keeping busy, the parents paying the bills, and the kids who are preparing for their future, whether it be at Disney or not.

The point is that there are vast quantities of people who have a wealth of information stored between their ears. Information that is not just valuable, but highly marketable. What is so odd (to me, your humble author) is that so few of these innumerable people have tried marketing the valuable and in-demand knowledge they possess.

You know what? Fine by me!

I am among those who have numerous years of experience at Walt Disney World. Your humble and incredibly good-looking author started working at Disney World full time in 1992 and remained, developing a very fun and satisfying career, until 2004. Now, some might say that the span of time from the present going back to 2004 is a broadening gap, but in my case, not at all. You see, my lovely wife still works for Walt Disney World and has since she was on the opening crew for Epcot, way back in the 1980. Walt Disney World is a part of our family, our lives, our daily discussions at the dinner table, and our time off.

Between the two of us, we have amassed more than 25 years of working knowledge of Walt Disney World.

Remember when I mentioned the untapped market of Disney information bouncing around in the heads of countless Disney employees (Cast Members)? Well, I recognized the value of that information long before I left Disney for other opportunities and I have been gathering that wealth of information for close to 15 years. If there is one thing I have found, it is that the glut of information guidebooks out there on the subject of Disney World are filled with ENORMOUS amounts of worthless information and actually have very little practical and valuable information. They're designed to impress the eye at first glance with pretty pictures and numerous bullet points, but rarely provide genuinely valuable information that can actually make a positive difference in the quality of the average family's vacation.

Over the past several years, I have strived to change that. I have gathered vast quantities of valuable information, not just from the personal experiences of myself and my lovely wife, but from the personal experiences of the numerous people I have become friends, colleagues and acquaintances with over the years. I have done this because I found the information so unique and fascinating because the information is unique to this place, but desired the world over.

So, hubpages is as fitting a place to disseminate this information as any other on the globe.

A day at the park

My daughter and I at Disney. Because of our unique benefits of easy access to Disney, visiting Disney World for us is among our cheapest choices for a day out. This is a nice benefit for us, but the knowledge gained by us may benefit humanity.

Moving forward, Your Insider will provide regular tips and advice

Because there is no possible way for this single Hub to provide but a minor smidge of this wealth of information, Your Humble Author finds it more fitting to communicate that this is the location to check out frequently for your Disney World 411. In the near future, I will include Insider Information on the Disney World theme parks, Downtown Disney, the numerous resorts, secrets of when and when NOT to visit, strategies to employ when you do visit, based on parks, regions of the park, and even the time of year, week and yes, even the time of day.

In this series, I can provide detailed and in-depth information that any visitor to Walt Disney World can use each and every time they visit Disney World, whether that visit be for the week, the month, or just that day. I can provide detailed information that can make a major difference, not just in the vacation quality within the Disney parks or on Disney property, but throughout the entire Central Florida Tourism vacation destination and Industry. After all, Walt Disney World helped place Central Florida on the map, but so much has arrived on those coat tails since then. Universal Studios Orlando is a major vacation destination, as is Sea World and Busch Gardens and a myriad of other local but world-famous vacation destinations.

There are secrets to be shared about how to obtain the best accommodations for the lowest prices. There are numerous safety and security questions that should be asked and should be answered, and certainly should be considered by all visitors.

So, watch this Hub and watch this author for upcoming information on the subject of Walt Disney World and Central Florida Tourist concerns.

Now, to offer a starting tidbit of information for those who have read this far and desire to know more in the near future...

Many of us realize that Walt Disney World is a family vacation destination where the entire family can enjoy what's offered equally. So, logic dictates that most who visit do visit with children. With this fact in mind, is it a stretch to guess when the vast majority of families with children visit Walt Disney World?

They visit during the summer months traditionally known for school summer vacation.

This is, hands down, the busiest time of year for Walt Disney World, primarily for this reason. Therefore, it is the belief of your humble author and numerous other Disney experts that this is THE WORST time for you to visit. There is just no way around this unfortunate fact; the place is busiest during the summer, horribly crowded, and because of this, the entire region has the prices geared up to their apogee at this time of year.

Furthermore, this is also Florida's worst weather season! It is the hottest and most dangerous to one's health, because of the humid heat and the bright summer sun.

So, what to do, what to do...

I have found a lot of families (folks, a lot of families) work with their children's schools to gain time off during what is thee best time of year to visit Disney World, which is the month of October and into the first two weeks of November. The Florida weather is pristine at this time of year, and the population density of all the vacation destinations in Florida are at their lowest. That means the accommodations are at their least expensive and the entire region is ripe with deals.

These families work with the school system to obtain the study materials necessary to bring that allows them to keep their children current with their classmates while they're gone and therefore not fall behind in their studies. They visit Disney and Central Florida when the weather is best and when the region offers the cheapest deals, and when the crowd density is at the year's lowest levels.

While I have enough valuable Disney World inside information to fill a book (and I have, two, in fact), if I were to take all of these tips and secrets individually and grade them by value, the above tip is the most valuable tip in my repertoir of several years-worth of accumulated tips, secrets, words of advice and wisdom. This single tip can save any family thousands of dollars as well as maximize the chance for a fantastic vacation as opposed to the stressful, sweaty, expensive, and sanity-challenging vacation one would endure during June, July and August. And, my friends, that is a fact.

So, watch for your humble author, Roddy J Dryer, in upcoming Hubs offering what should amount to a wealth of Walt Disney World information.

As an added plus, we can communicate through these hubs, mainly by you speaking out in the Comments section below. Do you have any specific questions related to Disney World that you want explained beyond a paltry 40-word statement served with a nylon smile? Let me know what you want to know and what you think would be a worthy question or concern explored, and I can likely answer this for you in the time it takes to make a smoothie. If I cannot answer it somehow (an unlikely occurrence, I claim) then I know numerous resources I can prod for the information. My wife and I know people the Disney World over, some of which who have children we've seen grow up, who know more about the place than we do.

With the help of you worthy and vital readers, we can make this location the premiere location for all smart information regarding Disney World, benefiting the entire world.
